PROJECT #8
Service repair project for an aerospace and defense manufacturer on a Used (2014) Doosan Puma 600 lathe in North Carolina. With a tight schedule of only 5 days the projects included the following:
- Inspection service to evaluate machine condition after shipping container was damaged. All non-painted surfaces had rust and corrosion due to water accumulation on all guideways and ball screws.
- Recommended technical process for rust removal and repair.
- Rust and oxidation was removed using a combination of specialized technical process and products (WD-40, scotch-brite & fine emery)
- Machine start-up and commissioning of all functions after rust removal.
